Founder Andrew Sigler is a Dartmouth College, and Amos Tuck School of Business graduate. When Dartmouth College closed their owned/operated Hanover Country Club in 2001 for a total re-do he was left without a place to play. Resultantly Sigler did what anyone in that situation would do. He built his own course.
Sigler was able to hire George Sargent, a member of the ASGCA since 1999. Not only was Sargent handed a dramatic piece of property but Sigler insisted that he be on site the entire time “The subtle mounding, the way the holes blend together, all those little things…that happened because George never let the project get ahead of him. He was here every step of the way and every day of the construction.” said Sigler.
The clubhouse reflects the founder’s goal of making Montcalm Golf Club the finest golfing facility in the area. The design enhances the private country setting
