Pure Golf

GOLF LIKE YOU'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED

Montcalm possesses a sense of tranquility, rhythm and calmness for all who enjoy the game. Regardless of your playing level, the central New Hampshire semi-private club instills peace of mind and body.

Outstanding views of mountains, valleys and lakes, as well as rolling hills of velvet fairways and greens will envelop you. There are many picturesque aspects of the course, from the deep woods and wildlife to the varying levels of green created by using four different varieties of turf grass and an intermediate rough cut to highlight dramatic shaping of the fairways.

A Creation

A CREATION WITHIN A DRAMATIC PIECE OF PROPERTY

Wogan & Sargent, highly respected golf architects, were commissioned to create a masterpiece in March 2001 and they delivered. They transformed a dramatic piece of property and with subtle mounding blended the holes together. They were involved in the project every step of the way and every day of the construction. A 1.3 mile long country lane gradually ascends, delivering you to spectacular views, a handsomely designed rustic clubhouse and state-of-the-art training facility.

For Golf Enthusiasts

MONTCALM IS ABOUT GOLF…PURE AND SIMPLE

Montcalm was awarded a Golf Digest award in 2005 as one of the top 10 Best New Private Courses in the country and was again acknowledged in 2007 by the magazine as one of the Best in State. It continually receives rave reviews from members and guests who enjoy the complete privacy and exquisite beauty that is Montcalm. So just what is it that makes this 6,829 yard design so special?

The club itself is remote, and the course moves further away from civilization as soon as you hit your first tee shot. Adherence to the Donald Ross philosophy of maintaining as much of the land’s natural character as possible required finding creative solutions for the varied terrain. While the natural layout could easily challenge a PGA professional, playability and challenges are ensured for golfers of all levels.

A Little Of Our Story

The Land was simply born to be a golf course

The course’s remote setting was a purposeful choice by its founder, who wanted to build a unique and immaculate course where conditions and maintenance would take precedence over all else. This was achieved by choosing an exclusive location that required a mile-long drive through a gated entry to reach the clubhouse and course. An environment was created where conditions would be optimal throughout the playing season.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT MONTCALM

“My 20-year experience at Montcalm has been nothing but phenomenal. The scenery is beautiful; the golf is spectacular and everyone that’s involved with the course is just so friendly and welcoming. It’s our home away from home.”
- Linda Boucher, a member since the Club opened.

“If you are avid golfers like we are, you must play this course! After driving about a mile up... you arrive at the lovely clubhouse and stunning mountain vistas! The course is like a roller coaster ride as you go up, down, and around the gorgeous landscape. From a performance standpoint the course is challenging but not forbidding. The undulating greens take a lot of mastery with the short stick!! We have recommended it so highly that quite a few members from our home course outside of Boston have now visited it. The Clubhouse food is excellent and the snack shack on the course even offers well-made alcoholic beverages. Greens fees with cart are reasonable with a great price/value relationship. Don't miss this extraordinary golf experience!
- S. Goodwin, Boston, MA

“Montcalm has been an aspiration for Denise and me. It is the pinnacle for us, literally, and figuratively of golf in this area. As a couple we have benefited most from is the combination of the golf experience itself. The members here and the staff are tremendous. It's a very welcoming place. It's a quality club so we use the club not only for our own enjoyment as members, but to entertain friends and spend time with people who are important to us. The men's and women's leagues are a real highlight, as we’ve gotten to know other members.”
– Kent Dahlberg, member of Montcalm.
